TACURONG CITY - The local government of Tacurong City was among the cities in the country cited by the Galing Pook Foundation as model cities during the awarding ceremonies Tuesday night in SM Convention Center in Pasay City.Of the 127 cities that
served as project sites for the implementation of the Millennium Development
Goals-Family-based Actions for Children and their
Environs in the Slums (MDG-FACES), Tacurong City was among the top 5.Because of this, Mayor Lina Montilla was invted to share success stories and best practices in transforming the lives of
children and their families living in slum areas/She was joined by Mayor Benjamin Abalos, Jr. of Mandaluyong City, Mayor
Rowena Tuason of Masbate City, Mayor Edward Codilla of Ormoc City, and Mayor
Jennifer Barzaga of Dasmariñas City.
