HPG recovers motorbike carnapped in Cotabato City sold in Midsayap

COTABATO CITY -- Elements of the PNPHighway Patrol Group in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (HPG-ARMM) on Tuesday have recovered a motorbike carnapped in Cotabato City and sold in Midsayap, North Cotabato.SPO4 Taha Enong, team leader ofHPG-ARMM enforcers, the motorcycle driver, when accosted, could not present registration papers. The unidentified motorist claimed he bought the motorcycle in Midsayap.Further investigation with the Land Transportation Officeshowed the motorcycle with license plate 2775 MJ owned by Marilyn Diolanenwas carnapped in Cotabato City.Enong has appealed to the motorcycle owner to claim the vehicle by providing legitimate registration at HPG-ARMM office in Cotabato City.He also issued reminders to motorists to take personal security steps to avoid losing their vehicles.
