ALAMADA, North Cotabato -- Normalcy has been restored in a remote village here after residents, who fled homes earlier after tension erupted between to clans following an ambush that left two persons dead, have returned home, police said today.Chief

resident of Sitio Marabuay, Barangay Bao, Alamada, North Cotabato.Tension ran high when relatives of the victims publicly declared they will
retaliate since they know who did the crime.Following the killing of Sumlay and Tuandato, armed men believed to be members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) under a certain Commander Karim,were sighted in the village of Bao, Alamada.Police authorities have appealed to anyone who have information against the perpetrators so charges of murder can be filed against them.Investigators remained clueless on the identities of the attackers of the Sept. 17 ambush.On Wednesday, a team from the 45th Infantry Battalion has been deployed in the village to prevent the escalation of conflict and allow the police to file charges against the perpetrators.Placer said the residents decided to return home after peacekeepers have been deployed.
