North Cotabato gov't employee hurt in highway accident

KIDAPAWAN CITY - A North Cotabatoprovincial government employee rushing to report for work at the provincial capitol instead landed in a hospital after his motorbike smashed intoa pick-up vehicle along the Matalam-Kidapawan City highway Thursday.Worst, Billy Rey Gallaza of Mlang, North Cotabato might lost his leg due to serious injuries in the 7 a.m. highway mishap.The Kidapawan City Traffic Management Unit said Gallaza was heading to Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City when a pick-up truck suddenly turned toward Petron Gas Station. Since Gallaza was speeding, he no longer have enough time to maneuver and avoid the pick-up vehicle.Responding elements of Kidapawan Cal. 911 rushed him to the hospital while the police took custody of the unidentified pick-up truck driver.
