ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat -– Despite Saturday
night’s bombing that left 11 persons injured here, the Kalimudan Festival activities
continued as scheduled.

Describing the bombing as isolated and not an attack
against the week-long 42nd foundation anniversary of Sultan Kudarat,
provincial Gov. Suharto Teng” Mangudadatu and his wife were around to witness
the street dancing competition Sunday.

He said the celebration must continue as scheduled
assuring the people of Sultan Kudarat of ample security. Our people are eager
to push with the program so it must continue,” he said.

Despite the explosion Saturday night and the
discovery of another grenade on Sunday morning, vendors and shoppers continue
milling around trade fair stalls along the 800 stretch highway fronting the
provincial capitol grounds.

All programs went on smoothly as scheduled until
Sunday night.

Police believed the grenade attack was either
perpetrated due to personal grudge or simply to embarrass the current administration.

Of the 11 wounded (not 15 as earlier reported), only
one remained in Sultan Kudarat provincial hospital while another was rushed to
Davao City due to shrapnel injuries in his eyes. The rest had minor injuries.

Mangudadatu told reporters the provincial government
paid for the hospital expenses of the victims.
