Farmer, laborer hurt in Pikit shooting incidents

PIKIT,
North Cotabato (Sept. 29) – A farmer and a laborer were separately shot and
seriously wounded in two villages here Sunday, authorities today said.
Lito
Campana, 52 of Barangay Kolambog, Pikit was shot and seriously wounded by still
unidentified gunman inside the town’s public market Saturday noon.
He
sustained a gunshot wound on his back from cal. 45 pistol. The suspect quickly
fled after the incident.
On
Sunday morning, Mark Lawrence Asensorin, a minor and labourer of businessman
Ronnie Cedenio, was shot with cal. 45 pistol by one of the six suspects in
Barangay Ginatilan.
Both
victims are now recuperating at a private hospital in Poblacion Pikit. Police
investigators are looking at personal grudge and robbery as possible motives.
