World class Filipino boxers to fight foreign foes in Davao

DAVAO CITY
(Sept. 29) -- Three world class and rated Filipino boxers are set to battle foreign foes in Davao City on October 11, formerNorth
Cotabato Gov. Manny Pinol today.Pinolsaid the fight at Davao Recreation Center, formerly Almendras
Gym, is dubbed as Clash of the Little Titans,” and will feature top Filipino flyweights
- IBO Jr. Flyweight champion Rey Loreto, former world super flyweight champion
Edrin Dapudong, and world ranked miniflyweight Denver Cuello.

Pinol, Sonshine
Sports CEO and also promoting the fight said Cuello faces Jaipetch Saksongym of
Thailand, while super-fly Edrin Dapudong meets Wisanlek Sithsaithong, also of
Thailand, and light-fly Rey Lloreto will collide with Heri Amol of Indonesia.

They were all
trained to fight impressively ahead of their international exposures next year,”
Pinol said in a statement.

Dapudong,
Cuello and Lloreto vowed they will give Filipino audience the best fight they
deserved to see.

All three of
us have trained hard for these fights,” said the Mlang-born Dapudong who was the
pride of Pinol’s BraveHeart Promotions.

The Oct. 11 battles
have the full support of the famous Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, whom Pinol said was
not only an avid boxing fight fan but a sports aficionado.

Pinol, who
promoted Manny Pacquiao’s fight 14 years ago, said Quiboloy fast-tracking the
completion of an enormous arena beside the Davao international airport because
of his plan to host the Pacman’s farewell fight.
