SoCot guv alarmed over pornography in Tiboli

KORONADAL CITY -A top public official in South Cotabato has expressed alarmwas alarmed over theproliferation of x-rated films in the municipality of T’boli. South CotabatoGov. Daisy Avance Fuentes told the recent Provincial Peace and Order Council meeting she was worried if this is not addressed would result to criminality. I proposed the creation of a special task force that willlead the campaign against pornographic materials, the visibly disturbed governor said.She ordered the creation of task force composed of concerned government agencies.Tiboli is one of the upland towns in South Cotabato inhabited by indigenous peoles. SomerResidents in remote villages of T’boli have been earning aliving by collecting entrance fee for showing x-rated films and exposing it to minors. Exposure of minors to these films can lead to the increase in violence against women, she said, adding thatlast month a minor was found dead after she was allegedly rape in Barangay Lamhako, T’boli.
