KIDAPAWAN CITY
– The remains of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has arrived in Mlang, North
Cotabato with her family asking more questions with still no definite answers
from authorities.

The family ofRosalie S. Cabangon of Barangay New Antique, Mlang, North Cotabato, is crying for justice. Shehas been working as house help in Singapore but her family learned she died mysteriously on
October 31.

Aling Betty,
Cabangon’s aunt, told Radyo Bida Kidapawan, that she collapsed for still
unknown reason and declared dead on arrival at a hospital in Singapore.

The family was shocked when Carla, Cabangon’s co-worker in Singapore, delivered the sad news. But Aling Betty
said Cabangon’s relatives talked withher on October 30 and it appeared everything
was okay. In that conversation, Betty said, Cabangon told them she was doing
fine in her work.

Cabangon left
for Singapore in September this year, three months after she delivered a baby
in Mlang. It was the second time she
worked in Singapore as domestic help.

Betty said
Cabangon’s family are still asking so many questions that, to date, remained
unanswered.

Betty also
said no autopsy report accompanied her remains and the family believed there
was a foul play.

Betty said
Cabangon reportedly told a relative in Makilala, North Cotabato that she has
skin rashes days before she was reported killed.

The Overseas
Workers Welfare Administration in Region 12 refused to comment on Cabangon’s
case.

Betty said Cabangon’s
agency, Divine Mercy Manpower Services Incorporated, is a licensed agency based
in Manila.
