6th ID chief opens Winter wonderland inside camp
CAMP SIONGCO,
Maguindanao – Major Gen. Edmundo Pangilinan, commander of the 6th
Infantry Kampilan” Division, has switched on a huge Christmas tree glittered
with white led lights surrounded with smaller Christmas trees and signalled the
opening of little winter wonderland” inside the Army headquarters on Sunday.
Pangilinan was
with the division guest of honor, his mistah in Matikas Class of 1983 Brig.
Gen. Romeo Gan when he led the opening of festival of lights inside the camp
with soldiers families in attendance.
Gan once served as 6th ID assistant division commander.
Pangilinan
gestured as if he was striking his magic wand” to welcome the yuletide season and
appreciated the efforts of the division partners” and the Kampilan family in
performing its mandate of establishing peace and tranquillity in its area of
operation.
It’s the time
we ponder the good deeds of our Lord by showing and doing good to everyone,
setting aside the differences and make Christmas meaningful to all of us,” he
said.
The Winter
Wonderland” has yuletide activities, including competition for best booth with
Christmas decoration and presentations.
Pangilinan also
shared his greetings of peace to all stakeholders in Mindanao who joined the

is a testimony that combined efforts of all stakeholders in finding peace was

We all desire
for peace during Christmas. It is now
happening in the locality. We do not want to see our foot soldiers to fight our
countrymen,” Pangilinan said.
The Winter
Wonderland is open to the public but stricter measures have to be applied.
