KIDAPAWAN CITY
- As in last year’s Christmas holidays, government hospitals in Region 12 are
now ready to attend to injuries or emergencies as a result of revelry.

While Dr.
Teogenes Baluma, Department of Health regional director for Region 12,
maintained the DOH-‘s zero casualty campaign, he said hospital staff and
medical practitioners are on alert status.

We conducted
re-orientation for our hospital staff as part of our preparation and advocacy
for safe Christmas and New Year revelries,” Baluma told DXND Radyo Bida
Kidapawan.

Even hospitals
under the local governments are also on alert status.

He urged LGU
executives and local police units to closely monitor the sale, distribution,
transport and use of powerful firecrackers and pyrotechnics.Baluma
stressed his office could only launch information campaign but the
implementation of ordinance, if they have one, is in the hands of LGU
executives and local police authorities.
