Bedak to keep his WBO junior featherweight crown in Cebu City.
Referee Russel Mora stopped the fight at 2:44 mark
of the third round after Bedak hit the canvass for the third time.
Bedak was downed twice in the second round and once
in the third, forcing Mora to wave off the fight before thousands of
spectators.
The 33-year-old Filipino flash, the five division world
champion, improved his win-loss record to 37-3, with 24 knockouts. Bedak
dropped to 25-2, 8 KOs.
Donaire now focuses his eyes on Carl Frampton or Guillermo
Rigondeaux in his next fight.
