KORONADAL CITY – An unidentified gunman shot dead Thursday
afternoon in Wao, Lanao del Sur a North Cotabato mayoralty candidate, police
said today.
Senior Insp. Jojie Barotas, police chief of Banisilan, North
Cotabato, identified the victim as Floro Allado, former Banisilan mayor and

Barotas told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida that Allado was shot in the head
while filling fuel at a gas station in Barangay Poblacion, Wao at about 1:30
p.m. He died instantly.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Barotas said the suspect fled on board a motorbike driven by a
companion after the incident.Allado survived a grenade attack on his home in last year but two of his cousins were killed. He blamed his political enemies in the incident.In 2006, Allado gunned down four civilians in the town proper. Then Gov. Emmanuel Pinol personally fetched Allado from his home after he was charged with multiple murder and sent him to Amas provincial jail.
