10 drug peddlers nabbed in N. Cotabato raids

KIDAPAWAN CITY -Authorities nabbed 10 suspected drug peddlers in a surprise raid of at least three drug dens in nearby Matalam town in North Cotabato, around 130 p.m., Wednesday. The suspects were identified as Yusoph Sagidpa, 37 Rodin Kamsa, 21 Tidz Zalpin, 25 Datoto Salipada, 44 Bonifacio Bayug, 42 Hofer Pasagui, 29 Karex Malik Ontong, 49 Henry Pendatun, 31 a certain ‘Parcon and a 12-year old boy. Taken from their wallets during body searches were several sachets of shabu, cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Inmate, believing family abandoned him, stops eating, dies

Farmer, cops foil bombing attempt of NGCP tower in N. Cotabato

here foiled another bombing attempt by unidentified men of a steel pylon of the
National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Barangay Tacupan Sunday
morning.

Marawi police chief killed in ambush

COTABATO CITY (Oct. 17) – Unidentified armed ambushed and killed today the police chief of Marawi City in a daring attack, police said. Senior Insp. Ronald de Leon, police spokesperson of the Autonomous Region in Muslin Mindanao (ARMM), said Supt. Al Abner Wahab Santos, Marawi City police chief and resident of Pagadian City was driving is Mitsubishi when ambushed at 2:20 p.m. crossing Sarimanok, Barangay Luksa Datu. 130 presidential, 19 veep, 172 senatorial hopefuls

The Commission on Elections said 130 Filipinos wanted to be president in next year's elections.As of 5 p.m. Friday, the last day of filing of certificates of candidacy, the poll body received and recognized 130 COCs for individuals hoping to replace President Aquino on July 1, 2016.The number was 31 higher than in the 2010 national elections where there were 99 presidential aspirants.For Vice President, the Comelec said 19 candidates filed COCs. In 2010 polls, 20 hopefulshave filed for the vice presidential contest. For senator, 172 individuals have filed COCs from October 12 to16.
