Koronadal starts jubilee countdown

KORONADAL CITY
(Sept. 7/NDBC) — A more festive and grandeur founding anniversary celebrations
await the people of Koronadal City and its environs, an official Monday.

City Mayor
Peter Miguel said to make the celebration more exciting, the city government
will start the countdown for the 75th Founding Anniversary in October.

The local
chief executive said various activities will be added for January 10, 2015
Jubilee celebration.

Tacurong to host Bird Festival

TACURONG
CITY -- Tourists, locals, bird watchers and enthusiasts are all
invited to this year’s celebration of wildlife conservation in the City
Goodwill—the 2nd Tacurong Bird Festival on May 28-29.

The
festival will take place at the city’s its very own Baras Bird Sanctuary.

The
Festival hopes to make aware locals and tourists about the importance of birds
in the environment, encouraging them to take the pledge of conserving natural
habitats such as the Baras Bird Sanctuary.

Kidapawan launches ‘positive messages’ to help rebuild image

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The city of Kidapawan and towns in North Cotabato lost at least
P340 million of investment capital when the national highway here was paralyzed
after close to 6,000 farmers barricaded the roads for three days since March 31
this year, data from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) showed.

Ferdinand
Cabiles of DTI-North Cotabato said they came up with such amount using the P17
million actual losses as basis.
