2 NPAs yield in Tboli, South Cotabato

CAMP SIONGCO, Mguindanao – The Local Government Unit of T’Boli, South Cotabato along with the Indigenous Peoples’ Community of T’Boli vowed to end the Communist Terrorist Group’s exploitations in their community as they support the surrender of two (2) NPA Terrorists to the 11th Special Forces Company, 5th Special Forces Battalion under the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army on February 4, 2022 at the said town.

5 more NPAs surrender in Central Mindanao

COTABATO CITY - Five more members of the New People’s Army, three of them collectors of “protection money” from hapless farmers, surrendered to the Army Thursday.

The five guerillas belonged to the NPA’s self-styled West Daguma South Regional Command-Far South Mindanao Region.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Friday they yielded through the intercession of the Army’s 7th Infantry Battalion and the municipal police offices in Bagumbayan and Senator Ninoy Aquino, both in Sultan Kudarat province.

Injured NPA yields to Army in South Cotabato

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – An injured member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG), identified as a certain Ricky Lumbay alias Jeric, voluntarily surrendered with his caliber 5.56 M16A1 Carbine Rifle to the 11th Special Forces Company, 5th Special Forces Battalion (5SFBn) and the Local Government Unit of T’Boli, South Cotabato today, January 31, 2022 at Barangay Edwards of said town.

North Cotabato village chiefs yield guns to Army

CARMEN, North Cotabato – The Army’s campaign against loose firearms in North Cotabato as part of its preparation for peaceful elections this year has again earned the support of village officials here.

Seven village chairpersons turned over to military military authorities here on Saturday.

Colonel Jovencio Gonzales, commander of 602nd Infantry Brigade, and Lieutenant Colonel Rommel Mundala, commander of 90th Infantry Battalion, received the firearms from local officials.

2 NPA commanders, 6 followers yield in SK

LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat --- Two commanders of the New People’s Army and six others surrendered here this week, a regional military official said Saturday.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said the two NPA commanders, Bakilo and Ranger, and their followers yielded through the backchannel efforts of the 37th Infantry Battalion and local officials.

23 extremists yield to Army in mainland Mindanao

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – A total of twenty-three (23) former violent extremists yields to Joint Task Force Central (JTFC) forces in North Cotabato and Maguindanao Provinces on January 21, 2022 bringing along with them 21 high-powered firearms and several improvised explosive devices.

More BIFF yield to Army in Maguindanao

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao - A total of 16 Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF) members decided to lay down their arms and surrender to government troops on January 15, 2022 at Barangay Meta, Datu Unsay, Maguindanao.

Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel A. Balintong, Commanding Officer of 92nd Infantry Battalion disclosed that seven (7) former BIFF rebels under Karialan Faction and nine (9) under Bungos Faction surrendered to government forces through the joint efforts of 92IB and police units coming from RIU15, CIDG BARMM, and Maguindanao Provincial Police Office.

14 BIFF yield to CIDG in Sultan Kudarat

LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat – The police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) announced today the surrender of 14 Moro extremist rebels operating in Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.

Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, the CIDG national director, presented the surrenderees to local press in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat Monday morning.  

The rebels turned over assorted firearms and explosives. 

He said the members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) surrenered to CIDG personjnel in of Barangay Tinumigues in Lambayong after months of negotiation.

6th ID expecting more surrenders as 14 more BIFF yield 

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato --- Fourteen more members of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters have surrendered, a regional Army official said Sunday.

Major Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division covering six provinces and four cities, said the 14 BIFF members pledged allegiance to the government Thursday through the efforts of the 34th Infantry Battalion and the 601st Infantry Brigade.

10 NPAs surrender in Tacurong City

TACURONG CITY --- Ten members of the New Peoples Army surrendered here Wednesday through the joint intercession of different units of the Police Regional Office-12.

Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum, PRO-12 director, said Friday the 10 rebels belonged to the NPA’s self-styled Guerilla Front 73-Far South Mindanao Regional Command.

Most leaders of the Guerilla Front-73 are wanted in different courts for heinous offenses, including multiple murder, arson, trafficking of narcotics and cattle theft.
