COTABATO CITY - Winning Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan candidates from the 63 barangays in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) took their oaths on Monday, November 6, 2023, inside the Bangsamoro Government Center before BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim.

The historic oath-taking ceremony was the first for SGA BLGU officials since the SGA's 63 barangays were officially turned over to the BARMM following a plebiscite in February 2019. It was led by Al Haj Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim.

KORONADAL CITY - Matiwasay pa rin sa pangkahalatan ang katatapos lang Barangay ang Sangguniang Kabataan Elections o BSKE 2023 sa Region 12.

Ayon kay PRO 12 Regional Director Brig. General Jimili Macaraeg, napanatili ng rehiyon ang pagiginig ehemplo nito ng participatory democracy.

Ipinapakita din nito ayon kay Macaraeg na totoo sa kanilang pangako para sa pagpapanatili ng katiwasayan at pagkakaisa ang mga mamamayan sa rehiyon.

Kaugnay nito pinuri naman ni Macaraeg ang mga voter, election officials, security personnel, mga kandidato at iba pang stakeholders.

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato- Umaasa si City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Augustus Bretaña na sinusunod ng mga kandidato sa katatapos lang na BSKE 2023 ang payo nilang magkaroon ng Waste Management Recovery Plan.

Layon nito ayon kay Bretaña na mapamahalaan ng maayos ang pagtanggal at pagtapon ng mga campaign materials.

Ayon kay Bretaña ang mga tarpuline at iba pang campaign paraphernalia ay pwede ring i-donate ng mga kandidato sa mga grupo na may kakayahan na mag-recyle ng mga ito.

MANILA – This year's Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) is officially over following the completion of voting and canvassing of votes across the country's 42,001 barangays, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Wednesday.

“(We already achieved) 100 percent complete voting and canvassing nationwide. No failure of election,” Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia said in a message to reporters.

COTABATO CITY - The police detained 27 “flying voters” apprehended one after another while trying to sneak through polling sites in Datu Odin Sinsuat (DOS) town in Maguindanao del Norte last Monday.

Lt. Col. Esmael Madin, chief of the DOS municipal police, told reporters Wednesday they have submitted the names of the 27 people from whom policemen and teachers facilitating election activities had seized fake voters’ identification cards bearing the seal of the Commission on Elections.

The fake voters’ identification cards have photos of each bearer but with different names.

Abot naman sa higit dalawang milyong piso ang halaga ng nasunog.

Nabatid na pagkatapos ng botohan kahapon ay agad inilipat ang mga ballot boxes sa municipal hall ng bayan.

COTABATO CITY - A voter died in a hospital from a gunshot wound sustained as two groups supporting rival candidates clashed in the premises of a polling site in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday afternoon.

Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Tuesday the trouble, that resulted in the death of Esmael Genta, caused tension among teachers facilitating the elections in rooms in the Sarilikha High School in Barangay Semba in Datu Odin Sinsuat.

COTABATO CITY - Four were hurt, among them a soldier, when gunmen pounded with 40 millimeter grenade projectiles the surroundings of a polling site in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday afternoon, amid election activities.

Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said Tuesday the conduct of elections at the Simuay Junction Elementary School in Simuay, Sultan Kudarat resumed immediately after policemen and soldiers had spread around the barangay to prevent a repeat of the shelling.

MARAWI CITY – A collision of political supporters and voting delays in precincts marred the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in this province and some parts of Northern Mindanao.

Most of the clustered precincts in 1,161 barangays in the province opened midday, with some in the afternoon, to the chagrin of voters who waited as early as 3 a.m. expecting that voting would start at 7:30 a.m. based on Commission on Elections (Comelec) guidelines.
