KIDAPAWAN CITY – The chief of police of President Roxas Municipal Police Station in North Cotabato was relieved from his post after the inspection conducted by Brig.Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, PRO-12 regional director, on Friday showed the police office leadership failed to implement police projects.

COTABATO CITY - Officials are scrambling to resolve a “rido” involving a barangay chairman who survived an ambush in Lamitan City, Basilan Monday that left his driver dead and hurt three others, among them an innocent public school teacher.

Rido is a generic term for clan war in most southern Mindanao dialects.

COTABATO CITY - Policemen uprooted some P2 million worth of marijuana shrubs in an operation Friday in an upland area in Valencia City in Bukidnon.

In a statement Saturday, the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office said personnel of the Valencia City Police Station and the Bukidnon 2^nd Provincial Mobile Force Company immediately destroyed the marijuana plants they uprooted in a secluded area in Sitio Bagalbal in Barangay Guinuyoran.

COTABATO CITY - Alleged members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters killed in an ambush Friday in Maguindanao del Sur two companions suspected of spying for the police and military.

Kamad Tangkile and Hamad Tangkile, a minor, were riding a motorcycle together when men positioned along a road in Barangay Pamalian in Shariff Saidona Mustapha town in Maguindanao del Sur shot them with assault rifles.

COTABATO CITY - Authorities seized 434,800 worth of shabu from eight dealers, linked to the New People’s Army and the Dawlah Islamiya, in separate operations in three provinces in three days.

The first to fall were Fernan Herrera, Wendel Tiamsing, Gerard Arabia, and Ronnie Bermejo, arrested after selling P78,800 worth of shabu to non-uniformed agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 12 in Barangay San Jose in Koronadal City, capital of South Cotabato province.

KORONADAL CITY - Kinilala ang nasawing biktima na si Valentine Lope, 55 anyos at taga Barangay Paraiso.

Sa panayam ng Radyo BIDA sa live-in partner ng biktima na si Charmaine Areola, sinabi nito na bubuksan na sana ni Lope ang gate matapos silang nag-gym nang nakarinig ito ng apat na putok ng baril.

Nagtamo ng gunshot wounds si Lope sa ulo at dibdib nito na naging dahilan ng kaniyang pagkamatay.

Dagdag ni Areola, wala silang nakilala na posibleng may galit kay Lope.

LANAO DEL SUR - Police operatives of Marawi City Police Station and City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of two drug personalities in possession of suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia on March 21, 2023 in Brgy. Matampay, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Citing the report from Marawi MPS, these suspects have been placed under surveillance because they are known to be involved in the illegal drug trade in the community.
