1 dies, 2 hurt in Cotabato City shooting

COTABATO CITY - An unidentified man was shot dead by still unidentified suspects along SK Pendatun extension, Barangay Poblacion, Cotabato City Tuesday, police said.Two other civilians were wounded by stray bullets in the 4:40 p.m. shooting.Police described the victim as 5'5' in height, about 25-30 years old. He died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds.Wounded wereCaharodin Abi Bangen, 31, self-employed and Blanca Dunggo Usman, 24, both residents of Barangay Poblacion Mother.Police said the victim was walking along SK Pendatun Avenue when the suspect opened fire on him.Meanwhile, anti-narcotic agents arrested Faizal Mamarinta alias Bong Mamarinta during a drug buy bust operations by elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Rosary Heights 10.Authorities seize suspected shabu from Mamarinta who acted as pusher during the operation.
