2 men bite the dust in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY – Two men bites the dust in separate shooting incidents here Wednesday night and Thursday morning in what police believed was related to illegal drugs.A man named Moner Upi, aka Jumong, was shot dead by still unidentified suspect in front of his horrified wife along a busy Datu Piang Street here at 10 a.m. today.
Akrima, the victim’s wife told police that they were to go out of their homes to eat when they noticed two men waiting for his husband along a narrow passageway.It was too late for them to back off as one of the two suspects, immediately pulled his cal. 45 pistol and opened fire on Upi while his companion looked on.Upi sustained six gunshot wounds from cal. 45 pistol. He died on the spot.At 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, two men riding tandem on a motorbike shot dead Hayman Mangelen Salendab along LR Sebastian, Cotabato City.Police said it appeared the gunmen and the victim knew each other since the victim, driving a van was flagged down by the suspects and had a brief talk before guns rang out.Police believed the shooting was related to illegal drug activities.
