2 men in motorbike shot dead police intel officer in NoCot town

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Two gunmen on board a motorcycle shot dead an intelligence officer in M’lang town inNorth Cotabato, a town official said.M’lang disaster risk and management officer Constantino Diazon identified the victim as Police Officer 3 Lovel Tan, assigned at the intelligence unit of the M’lang PNP.Tan, according to Diazon, was sipping his cup of coffee at about 8 a.m. inside his boarding house when two still unidentified gunmen entered his place and shot him, using caliber 45 pistol.Tan died on the spot.Authorities recovered from the crime scene seven empty bullets from a .45 pistol.Diazon hinted the killing of Tan was work-related.Tan, he explained, has been actively involved in the town’s police campaign against illegal drugs. He has already led several operations against suspected illegal drug personalities operating in M’lang and in other towns in North Cotabato.But as to the suspects’ identities, Diazon has yet to dig deeper their probe. Tan’s death won’t stop the PNP and the LGU in their campaign against illegal drugs.It won’t cow us in our drive to make M’lang drug-free, said Diazon.
