2 suspects in slay of Lanao Sur town councilor yield

COTABATO CITY - Two of the suspects in the murder of a Lanao del Sur town councilor surrendered to police authorities, officials said late Monday.Abdulazis Kusin Guiday Abdulkader and Alimparok Dumiar Pagrangan volunteered to yield on Sunday night, hours after they allegedly shot dead Kapatagan Councilor Naffif Palawan Bansil on Saturday afternoon in the town of Balabagan, adjacent to Kapatagan.Four others were injured, all companions of the slain town councilor. The Balagaban municipal police office found the suspects' Tamaraw FM in Barangay Sigpang, Kapatagan with blood stain, an indication the gunmen who barged inside the house of former Balabagan Municipal Mayor Hadji Amer Sampiano were also injured.One of the suspects, Fahad Guiday Abdulkader, was also killed and the police turned over his remains to his family, a police report from Balabagan.The PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in theAutonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) based in PC Hill, this city, is now in custody of the two suspects.The Balabagan police said the motive of the attack against Councilor Bansil was rido (family feud).On Monday, gunmenshot and woundedBalabagan Councilor Nonilon Pagrangan.
