3 hurt in North Cotabato grenade attack

NORTH COTABATO --- Three partygoers were injured in a grenade blast in Barangay Bagolibas in Aleosan town at past 4:00 p.m. Monday.
Eleuterio Macaya Cantomayor, 64, Randy Poja Cantomayor, 44, and the 13-year-old Genie Cantomayor, who sustained shrapnel wounds in different parts of their bodies, are now confined in a hospital.
They were together in a group celebrating the birthday of a relative in a house in Barangay Bagolibas when a man on a motorcycle arrived, pulled over and hurled at them a fragmentation grenade.
The suspect sped away as the grenade went off, according to Captain Arvin Cambang, chief of the municipal police.
He said investigators are still trying to identify the culprit and his motive for the bombing.
