Alabel town to be placed under state of calamity

GEN. SANTOS CITY - The local government of Alabel, Saranggani is putting theentire town due to severe drought that destroyed the residents' main livelihood,Radio DXCP reported.Alabel Municipal Mayor Corazon Dyafilo said her office is waiting for the consolidated report from the municipal agriculture office to support the claim to put the town under state of calamity. The dry spell that hit the province has destroyed about P20 million worth of coconut, corn and other agricultural products.
