BFAR advisory affects marine products sales in Kidapawan

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Marine products vendorsin Kidapawan City mega market have been complaining of low sales after a government agency regulating marine products warned the public against eating shell fish.Sea shells displayed at the city market were from Barangay Mati, Digos City and inDavao del Sur coastal towns.The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) reported that the coastal villages of Davao del Sur could be contaminated with red tide.But vendors said no complained about red tide contaminated marine products have been raised. The BFAR also have not received complaints.
