BIR padlocks Koronadal gas station

KORONADAL CITY - Ipinasara ng Bureau of Internal Revenue o BIR ang Flying V gasoline station sa Gensan Drive at Arrellano st., nitong lungsod sa isinagawang “oplan kandado”.

Sinabi ni Revenue District Officer Noel Gonzales na dumaan sa mahabang proseso bago isinagawa ang operasyon sa gasoline station. Nagkaroon umano ng surveillance at binigyan ng pagkakataon ang kumpanya na makasagot.

Ayon kay Gonzales, dapat ay tuparin muna ng kumpanya ang responsibilidad nito sa gobyerno bago payagang muling makapag operate.

Ayon sa batas, may kapangyarihan ang BIR na ipasara ang kumpanya kung hindi ito nagbibigay ng resibo, hindi nag file ng vat returns at mayroong understatement na sobra sa 30 percent sa sales nito.

Sinabi ni Gonzales na may isusunod pa silang limang malalaking business establishment sa Koronadal City.
