BTA members empowered into crafting revenue legislation
COTABATO CITY – A member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BTA-BARMM) today said legislative works of BTA members are expected to improve following a seminar workshop that empowered them in crafting local laws.
MP Member Bai Maleiha B. Candao said in a statement the training conducted by the University of the Philippines and organized by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process has empowered lawmakers in crafting the region’s Internal Revenue Code.
The BTA members were trained in making the revenue code according to Islamic Principles.
“It (seminar) gave us BTA members the opportunity to be objective in crafting the revenue code and to help ensure its success for the betterment of Bangsamoro region,” MP Candao said.
