Cops arrest man, seize guns, explosives in SK

GEN. SANTOS CITY --The concerted effort of elements from 1202ND Regional Mobile Force Company, Regional
Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), and LAMBAYONG MPS during the operation
conducted at Purok Mupak, Brgy Tambak, in the town of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat
on Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 yielded the arrest of Roy Guimal Mupak and
the recovery of assorted firearms, ammunitions and explosives.
Our
fight against criminality continues even intensified. For as long as there is a threat to our peace and security
in the region, we will not rest yet we will conscientiously perform our job, Chief Supt. Marcelo C Morales, regional director for Region 12. It
is our duty to give the people of SOCCSKSARGEN their right to have a peaceful
living, and that is through giving teeth to the law. Suspects have been
arrested and more to be arrested because of our strengthened and intensified
intelligence information gathering, he added.
During
the raid at the house of said suspect, raiding team collared him after the
operatives recovering from his possession, one (1) Cal. 38 revolver loaded with
four (4) Cal.38 ammunition, five (5)
Cal.38 ammunition inside the sling bag and one (1) fragmentation hand grenade.
The
raiding teams also raided the house of Datu Not Mupak but the suspect evaded
arrest. Recovered from his premise were one (1) rifle grenade, one (1), (1)
cal. 9mm improvised machine pistol (UZI) with six (1) live ammunition.
At
the house of Muslimen Mupak who was not present during raid, the teams
recovered one (1) Fragmentation hand grenade.
The
searches were orderly and done in the presence of the witnesses while the
recovered evidence will be submitted to RCLO 12 for forensic examination.The
arrested suspect was brought to 1202nd RMFC Headquarters, Tacurong City for
documentation while preparing request for his medical examination.Cases
for violation of RA 10591 and RA 9516 are being readied for filing against the
arrested suspect thru inquest proceeding and suspects who evaded arrest thru
