DTI-12 offers alternative Christmas giveaways

KORONADAL
CITY - A government agency here is offering an alternative gift that people of Region
12 and neighboring places can give to their love ones during the Yuletide season.
Instead of
patronizing imported products which are more expensive, products made by micro
small and medium entrepreneurs in Region 12 can be ideal Christmas present.
Dorecita
Delima, DTI 12 assistant regional director, said they have already chosen some
products to be recommended as Christmas gifts.
We’ve
packaged 17 corporate giveaways, where in we are giving the agencies and large
companies the idea of what could be bought for the Christmas season,” Delima told DXOM FM Koronadal Wenesday.
Patronizing
local products, especially during the holiday season, can increase the revenue
and widen the market of MSMEs in the region.
Products
made by MSMEs are available at DTI display center in Koronadal City.
The agency
will also put up another display center in SM mall in General Santos City.
Region 12
is known for its dried fruits, native products, coffee, and other processed
foods.
If
properly wrapped and packaged, they can be ideal and unique Christmas gifts,”
she said.
