Dump truck driver killed, 3 hurt in North Cotabato highway crash

KIDAPAWAN CITY --- Despite repeated appeals by government officials and traffic enforcers for motorists to slow down along highways in Makilala, North Cotabato, highway mishaps still happen.The latest of which left one dump truck driver dead when the vehicle he was driving rammed a 10-wheeler truck it was tailing in Patulangon, Purok 11, BarangayPoblacion, Makilala, North Cotabato at about 1 a.m. Saturday.Senior Police Officer 1 Xerxes Anthony Fiel, Makilala PNP traffic investigator, identified the slain truck driver asAlvin de Asis Alipato, 26 ofTrento, Agusan del Sur.Wounded were his companions identified asRonilo Campomanes Librea, 25, Redjie Alcantara Madjos, 19, and Francis Bautista Larebi, 23, all of San Isidro, Davao City.
