Duterte assures ARMM cops of full gov’t support

PARANG,
Maguindanao – President Rodrigo Duterte today assured all police
officers in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) that should
something happen to them while performing their sworn duties, the government
will take care of the loved ones.Duterte,
in his short talk with the men in uniform, after receiving security briefing
from Chief Supt. Reuben Sindac, ARMM police director, apologized to police
officers who waited for hours only to listen to his very brief speech. His talk lasted about 4 minutes.
Your
children will be assured of education, your spouses will be given employment,
that is automatic, Duterte said. That is the least I can do for you for doing
your duties to your country.
By
the time I leave the presidency, I would have invested so many billions for the
trust fund for law enforcement personnel, he added.
I
have nothing but best for the police, he said, adding that I also want the
police to be fully equipped in fighting terrorists in Mindanao.Duterte
faced the police after the ceremonial distribution of certificates of completion
of 76 certificates of completion to the PRO-ARMM Motorcycle Riding Course Class
10-2017.
During
closed door meeting, Duterte was briefed by police and military officials in
the Mindanao region on the gains of anti-terrorist and anti-drug operation.
