Fire hits Mlang public market

MLANG, North Cotabato - A fire of still unknown origin destroyed at least three stalls of the public market here Sunday night.

A report from Mlang BFP marshall Chief Inspector Rizalde Chan showed that the fire started at about 8 p.m. and put under control an hour later.

Initial investigation showed electrical problem triggered the conflagration.

Jane Amis, a market vendor, said the store was closed when fire started inside.  Fire truck came quicklya nd tried to put off the blaze, she said.
