GenSan cops arrest 2 drug suspects, seize P36K meth

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Joint operatives from Regional Police
Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU 12) and Police Station 3 of General Santos City
Police Office (GSCPO) seized almost P36,000 worth of shabu and arrested two suspects in illegal-drug buy bust operation on Tuesday.The operation was conducted along Nursery road corner Yanson Village in Barangay Lagao, General
Santos City.

Suspects Ariel
Cornejo Laureano, 20, resident of Anas Subdivision, Barangay Lagao, General
Santos City, and Rex Biñan Daligdig, 40 were apprehended after a police
operative acted as poseur buyer managed to secure shabu from them.The two tried but failed to escape on a motorbike.Cops seized one small size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu bought by
police poseur buyer from the suspect and four pieces elongated sized heat
sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu and P1,000 marked money.

The suspects subsequently
underwent medical/physical examination.

They are now under
the custody of Police Station 3, GSCPO.

Cases for violation
of Sec. 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous
Drugs act of 2002 are being prepared for filing before the City Prosecutors Office in
General Santos City against the suspects.

Chief Supt Marcelo C
Morales, PRO-12 regional director, has advised those in the illegal drug trade to think of their future. Think about the ill effects of illegal drugs
which mean nothing except to destroy lives of people who use it. Those engage
in Illegal drug activities need to be arrested and convicted, Marcelo said.

We already have
started it, and we should finish it altogether. What I am certain about is that
there will always be an end to an evil deed and triumph on our war in drugs, Morales added.
