NGCP Transmission System in Leyte were severely affected by the recent earthquake that shook Eastern Visayas this afternoon. This will cause brownouts in the neighboring provinces such as Bohol and some parts of Cebu. Leyte is the source of the largest geothermal powerplant in the world and these plants were affected by the magnitude 6.5 quake.
