Kalamansig PNP, Marines arrest 4 suspected illegal drug pushers

KALAMANSIG, Sultan Kudarat - Four persons were arrested Thursday in a joint Marines-PNP anti-illegal drug operation here and in Barangay Sta. Clara, police said.

Senior Inspector Patrick Elma, Kalamansig town police chief, said police and elements of 7th Marine Company of Marine Battalion Landing Team (MNBLT-7), led by 1Lt. Raymond Abad, served the warrants of arrests on the suspects in Purok Baliwasan, Barangay Pag-Asa, Kalamansig, and in Purok Pag-Asa of Barangay Sta. Clara, Kalamansig at about 6 a.m.

Arrested were Sitti Modsna Adim a.k.a. "Maydar Adjim," Muddazir Nali a.k.a. "Mud," Orland Mosqueda and Norodin Mla. 

Elma said recovered from the suspects were 162 pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with street value of Php 29, 200.00, drug paraphernalia and P1,200 cash.

The suspects are now in police custody undergoing interrogation for filing of appropriate charges.

Elma lauded the public for providing the police with the necessary information leading to the arrest and neutralization of the suspects.

"Let's work together for the good of our municipality," he urged the people of Kalamansig, a coastal town in Sultan Kudarat rich in natural and marine resources.
