Kidapawan teen film maker to compete in NAHD
COTABATO CITY -- Kidapawan City National
High School will be representing Region XII at the upcoming 3rdin National Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) Film Festival Awarding
Ceremony, to be held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC),
Pasay City.
The AHD Film Festival
is an annual event hosted by the Commission on Population (POPCOM) with the aim
to heighten public awareness on AHD and other various issues affecting the
youth today.
With the theme Post
Millennial Filipinosand Renewed Hope vs. Risk , the Awarding Ceremony will be
held on March 22, this year. The ceremony is set to have a Black Tie Event
where the winners from the Regional AHD Film Festival conducted by Regional
POPCOM offices will be attending.
KCNHS had won the Regional
AHD Film Festival competition last November 2017, with their 15-minute film entitled
Click, Refresh, Home (CRH). They also won the Best Poster, Best Musical
Scoring, Best Production and Design, Best Screenplay, and Best Director. Their
lead actress, Shari Jeil Capotulan also won Best Lead Actress.
Along with Capotulan,
the rest of the production team, namely Writer and Director Wendy Lee T. Jose,
Cinematographer Shane Vincent L. Eslais, Editor Gilbert Everson Nicole M. Tuzon,
and Coach Julius C. Cervancia, are set to fly to Manila on the 20th
of March, 2018.
