Kidapawan tourism office announces annual Mt. Apo climb

KIDAPAWAN CITY - The Department of Tourism in Kidapawan City has announced this year's Mt. Apo October Trek, an annual mountain climbing event in the country's highest peak.In a statement, the Kidapawan City Tourism Council said registration is still on going at the Kidapawan City mayor's office.However, no specific climbing date was announced.In its Facebook account, the tourism office said it is now accepting registrants.Interested climbers are advised to do the followingand Go to local accredited travel agency in the city, register and fill up forms and submit with certification of physical and good health and legitimate identification card, pay the climbing fee of P750 for foreigners, P500 for locals and P400 for students.The successful registrants are given permit to climb, legitimate climbing ID or bag tag and a certificate to climb.This year's climbers are reminded by DOT-Kidapawan Ctiy to Take nothing but pictures, kill nothing but time, leave nothing but footprints and leave no traces.
