KORONADAL CITY
– A locally-developed tourist spot here is gaining attractions as more and more
people are showing interest to it, the local government said.
Mayor Fernando
Miguel said local residents around Siok falls in Barangay Mabini have organized
themselves and formed Siok El Amte-o falls and park association.
They called
the area as Siok-Eco Adventure and Park sa Barangay Mabini.
Siok falls is
among the more than a dozen falls in the SOCCSKSARGEN promoted by Department of
Tourism 12.
Miguel said
the local government is setting aside funds for the development of the falls.SOCCSKSARGEN region is composed of the provinces of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, North Cotabato, Saranggani and the cities of Cotabato, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Tacurong andGen. Santos.
