Koronadal Int'l event comes to a close, mayor lauds Koronadalenios

KORONADAL CITY -- All roads here lead to the South Cotabato Sports Complex for the closing ceremonies of the successful Koronadal City International Folklore Festival which ends tonight.City Mayor Peter Miguel said Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao has confirmed his attendance during the closing program this evening.Miguel explained that Pacquiao was chosen to be the event culminating program guest of honor and speaker because the Saranggani solon, also known as Pambansang Kamao is known not only in the Philippines and Asia but around the world. We have a very successful event, an international one that brought out city in the world map of culture and arts, Miguel told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida in Filipino.Simultaneous with the closing program is a send off ceremonies to be presented by the National Commission for Culture and Arts.Miguel lauded the people of Koronadal and South Cotabato for the success of the event and because of their participation and cooperation.All the participants from nine countries and local groups have appreciated the warm welcome showed by the people of Koronadal during the Piesta Kolondatal which improved the tourism industry of South Cotabato and Region 12.
