KORONADAL CITY - Man and woman's best friends, so they are popular.Pet dogs had their day here as the city hosted Sunday a Dog Fashion Show as the city celebrates its 17th Charter Anniversary and 7th Negosyo Festival. Some dressed in Christmas attire, the dogs, some depicted Sta Claus, reindeer and poinsettia, filled the Rizal Park for the event.The apple of the eye of dog enthusiast was a differently able dog that received applause from the audience.Another highlight of the event was a dog eating contest, according to Dr. Charliemagne Calo, Koronadal City veterinary chief.The dog show forms part of the Animal Welfare Week celebration.Calo said the annual dog show aims to raise awareness and promote responsible pet owners because dogs are man and woman's best friends.
