Midsayap-born Miss Tourism World inspires NorCot youth
MIDSAYAP, Cotabato – Newly crowned Miss Tourism World Philippines 2014 Mary Grace Jedaver Opingo visited more than 100 young student leaders in North Cotabato during the Cotabato Young Leaders Congress (CYLC) in Camp Anatolia, Barangay Kimagango, Midsayap, officials said.Opingo, who herself hails from the village of Lower Glad, Midayap was warmly welcomed by the participants of CYLC who were so excited upon seeing her.She is the second native of North Cotabato who brought prestige to the province by winning country's beauty contest after Mary Jean Lastimosa, 2014 Binibining Pilipinas Universe.The young leaders, composed ofpresidents and other officers of central student governments, supreme student councils and other school-based organizations in the province.Opingo was elated to learn that these students underwent a training program which aims to give them the opportunityto know each other, gain more skills and develop their potentials as leaders in the future. I was once like them”, Opingo said. I was a student who also dreamedof finishing my studies and be of good influence and service to my community”, she added.She said that the youth must make the most out of their time in studies and things that develop personality and skills. She also lauded Gov.
