Son kills mom in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY – A septuagenarian woman was brutally killed by her own son inside the family homein Parang town in Maguindanao Thursday, police said. Police Chief Inspector Erwin Tabora, Parang police chief, Estrella Borres was repeatedly stabbed by his 34-year old son, Romanito in their Barangay Sarmiento village home.Tabora said Ramonito was believed to be suffering from mental disorder but police probers are still determining the real motive.Ramonito was later arrested by responding lawmen. It was unknown whether the woman was alone in the house when the killing occurred. The family refused to give any statement on the killing. (Rhoderick Beñez)
