KORONADAL CITY - No public transportation franchise, no driver's license and sachets of prohibited drugs landed a van driver from Sultan Naga Dimaporo,Lanao del Norte to jail in South Cotabato Wednesday.Dodong Tacbas, 46 of Sultan Naga Dimaporo town in Lanao del Nortehas no vehicle franchise but used his van as passenger vehicle with 10 passengers, according to Chief Inspector Arnold Carino. Worst he was driving without license to drive which is a basic requirement, Carnio, chief of South Cotabato Highway Patrol, told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida.HP operatives have established a highway checkpoint in Barangay Morales here and flagged down Tacbas who was suspiciously driving a van without franchise markings on its sides. Carino said Tacbas' van was carrying about 10 passengerson their way to Gen. Santos City.When Carino asked Tacbas for his driver's license, the visibly thrilleddriver pulled his wallet, in the process, exposing a sachet of shabu.After inspection, more sachets of prohibited drugs were found in Tacbas' van. Carino said his office earlier received a tip that a colorum passneger van from Lanao del Norte is passing by Korondal City with prohibited drugs in it.
