Tacurong City's BOSS, a one stop business renewal process (Tacurong LGU)

CITY
OF TACURONG---Business owners renew their permits for only an hour and thirty
minutes with only two easy steps.

First,
business owners submit all required documents to the LGU’s License Section. If
requirements are complete, LGU personnel encode business data. The second step
then requires business owners to proceed to the Treasury Office to submit and
pay their Tax Assessment. The business owner then receives the business permit
from the personnel of the Treasury Office.

If
you think it couldn’t be easier than that, the Business One-Stop Shop is here!

The
LGU Tacurong Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) is now ongoing to give business
owners a more hassle-free process. From 5-20 January 2015, all national line
agencies and LGU offices you need to go to and transact with to register or
renew business permits are in one place.

If you have not complied
your business renewal/registration requirements, you only need to go to the
Tacurong City Cultural and Sports Center (city gymnasium) to avail the services
of LGU offices including Office of the City Mayor (License Inspection Services
Section and Economic Enterprise Management and Slaughterhouse), City
Engineering Office, City Planning and Development Coordinating Office, City
Environment and Natural Resources Office, Office for City Health Services, City
Treasury Office, and City Administrator’s Office.

Also in the same venue are
personnel of various national line agencies such as the Bureau of Fire
Protection, Philippine National Police, Social Security System, Bureau of
Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Trade and Industry, PAG-IBIG, and
Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth).

In the previous years, LGU
Tacurong had three steps in business licensing. In 2012, Tacurong was ranked 8thamong LGUs nationwide with
the least number of steps—with its 3 steps—required for processing business
renewals by the National Competitiveness Council.

According to City
Administrator Eduardo Nicolo, the LGU reduced the steps into two in its efforts
to make the city more business-friendly. (LGU-Tacurong City Information)
