WestMinCom chief recognizes gallantry of soldiers in Sulu

JOLO, Sulu - Ten of the 18 wounded soldiers who incurred injuries during the armed engagement with the Abu Sayyaf yesterday were recognized by Western Mindanao Command chief Lieutenant General Arnel B. Dela Vega earlier today (February 3, 2019).Accorded with the Wounded Personnel Medal were Sergeant Gari Lacheca, Corporal Leonel Echalar, Corporal Glen Diaz, Corporal Arnel Solomon, and Corporal Glenn B Rosales, all of the 14th Scout Ranger Company and Sergeant John Rex, Corporal Julyto Cimeni, Corporal Paul Azur, Corporal Resnev Villanueva, and Private Peter John Salvador of the 13th Scout Ranger Company.Said battle casualties are undergoing medication at the Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Station Hospital in Jolo, Sulu.From Jolo, LtGen Dela Vega took the time to visit and don awards to two more battle casualties confined at Ciudad Medical Zamboanga.
