Mangudadatuand 'No need to declare state of calamity'

COTABATO CITY - Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Toto Mangudadatu said no need to put the province under state of calamity to expedite relief distribution to families affected by floods.He told DXMS Radyo Bida that with or without declaration of state of calamity, concerned government agencies in the province are attending to the needs of affected villagers in 10 Maguindanao muncilipalities.The provincial board has declared state of calamity on February 28 in at lest 15 towns due to massive evacuation when the government forces clashed with outlawed groups in Maguindanao's second district.In May,the board placed the entire province under state of calamity due to dry spell.
