KORONADAL CITY -- Feeling insulted and ridiculed after his photo was posted on Facebook, a man ran amok and attacked his neighbors in Purok Masagana, Barangay Reyes, Banga, South Cotabato on Sunday night.Police tried to pacify him but he resisted and hacked a police officer, forcing lawmen to neutralize him.Earlier, Richie Maceda Absalon, 27 of Barangay Masagana hacked two persons, including a police officer who tried to pacify him.Police said Absalon, armed with a lagaraw (bolo)was so mad he barged into the house of his friendLeonardo Jaspe, and demanded an explanation why his photo was posted on FB. It was not clear what irked Absalon and what the photo was all about.Responding police and members of Bureau of Fire Protection tried to convince Absalon to surrender his bolo, to no avail. As he fled, he hacked Enrico Escorpio who tried to prevent him from leaving.Police Officer 3 Crislino Arang was also wounded when Absalon hacked him in his arm. Responding police officers were forced to opened fire on him, the Banga PNP said in a report.
