Koronadal City man shot dead by own brother, victim's wife killed too

KORONADAL CITY - A farmer was shot dead by his own brother following an altercation on Wednesday night, a police report said.A police report released to DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal on Thursday identified the victim as Romy Consumo, 40,who died from bullets wounds while undergoing treatmentat the South Cotabato provincial hospital.His wife, Belen, 33, was killed on the spot after Joselito Consumo, the victim's younger brother, opened fire using a hand gun ofan undetermined caliber.The police report said the incident happened at 9 p.m. in the victims's home in Purok Mariveles,Barangay Paraiso, Koronadal City.Also injured were the suspect's son, Jose Consumo and the suspect's nephew, JR Lee Consumo. Both are now confined at a hospital in Koronadal City.JR Lee told police investigators that Romy and Joselito were engaged in a heated argument inside the victim's home.Romy's wife tried to pacify and separate the warring brothers but Joselito allegedly pulled a hand gun and starting firing on Romy, his wifeand anybody in the house.Joselito fled after the incident and is now the subject of police manhunt.
