Man from Midsayap arrested in Davao City for shabu possession

DAVAO CITY -- Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have been filed Wednesday against a man from Midsayap, North Cotabato who was arrested for shabu possession at a military checkpoint here Monday.Roy Menggo Demaguil, 38 of Barangay Poblacion 6, Midsayap town, was driving a car heading toward Cotabato City when Army personnel belonging to Task Force Davao in Barangay Sirawan, Toril district,Davao City found illegal drugs estimated to cost P315,000.Seven huge sachets of shabu were seized from Demaguil who refused to issue statement to media.The charge sheet against Demaguil was forwarded by Toril Police to Prosecutor Irene Joy Tala-Montero for appreciation and finding of probable cause.
