BAGYO UPDATE | The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has intensified into a tropical storm and was given an international name MEARI . According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Benison Estareja, this tropical storm will possibly remain stationary in the next 2 days. After being almost stationary, there are two possible scenariosandA. It may follow the course of the tropical depression which was last located at more than 2,000 kms. east of Luzon.B. It may enter the PAR, posing a threat to Luzon or Visayas.Changes may still occur in the next hours. All are advised to monitor updates and further development.
